Where to Go in Each Japanese City? A Nightlife Map Q&A
In 30 seconds: in Tokyo pick an area by taste (Yoshiwara soaplands / Shinjuku Kabukicho nightlife / Okubo outcall). Osaka has no soaplands — Tobita and Matsushima Shinchi for full service, Kitashinchi and Minami for lighter services and clubs, Kobe Fukuhara for soaplands. In Kyoto, go to Ogoto or use hotel outcall. Prices and foreigner policies below; ask through official channels for shop names.

Short answer: choose a city first, then match by type — soapland / lighter service / clubs / outcall. Below, city by city; we don't publish full shop lists — ask through our official channels.
Q: Where should I go in Tokyo?
A: Soaplands — Yoshiwara is the main in-store hub; Shinjuku and Ikebukuro also have shops that serve Chinese guests (ask about conditions when booking). Hostess clubs: Shinjuku for a glam look, Roppongi/Ginza for a mature style, Ikebukuro/Akihabara/Shinjuku for idol style. TG/TS mostly Asakusa and Shinjuku; gay and lesbian scenes in Shinjuku Ni-chome. SM in Roppongi, Ginza, Shibuya, Gotanda, Ikebukuro. Group-play venues in Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ueno. Shows to see with female friends: Roppongi, Shinjuku, Shibuya. Members-only: Akasaka, Roppongi, Nishi-Azabu, Shibuya. Clubs: Roppongi, Shibuya, Nishi-Azabu, Shinjuku. Chinese-speaking-friendly shops: Ikebukuro, Okubo, Ueno, Shinjuku, Hamamatsucho. For hotel visits see the outcall page (Shin-Okubo area).
Q: Where should I go in Kyoto?
A: Central Kyoto has basically no soaplands; take the train to the nearby Ogoto Onsen soapland area. Lighter services around Kawaramachi or Gion-Shijo; bars along Kiyamachi-dori. Otherwise it's mostly hotel outcall.
Q: Where should I go in Osaka?
A: Osaka city has no traditional soaplands (basically cleared out after the Flower Expo). For full service, Tobita Shinchi and Matsushima Shinchi are the two main options. Strip and adult shows in Kitashinchi and Minami (Namba). Interesting lighter services: Amerikamura, Sonezaki. Pink salons mostly in Kyobashi. Edgier SM around Nipponbashi. Couples/group, clubs and themed venues mostly in Kitashinchi or Minami — always ask the shop about policies first. For soaplands take the train to Kobe Fukuhara. Dotonbori is touristy — watch out for street touts and dubious “introductions”. For hotel visits see our Osaka outcall.
Q: Where should I go in Nagoya?
A: Nagoya has many lighter-service shops — in Nishiki, Sakae, Taikodori and Ikeshita. Sakae leans toward mature-woman and some niche shops; Nishiki toward schoolgirl-theme and visual-kei. Drinks and clubs in Sakae or Shinsakae. Few soaplands; some around Taikodori.
Q: Where should I go in Sapporo, Hokkaido?
A: Nightlife is concentrated in Susukino. Soaplands mostly along Susukino-dori and Ginza-dori; lighter services around Minami 5 Nishi 5; bars and clubs near Minami 5 Nishi 4; love hotels around Minami 7 Nishi 3 work for outcall. Niche venues are also mostly on Ginza-dori — confirm legal registration and policies first.
Q: Where should I go in Fukuoka/Hakata?
A: Nakasu covers almost everything. Soaplands near Minami-Shinchi-dori; lighter services along Seiryu-koen-dori and the Hakata River have a steady reputation; hostess bars on Shinbashi-dori; Roman-dori leans toward harder play, with clubs nearby. The shop's confirmation applies.
Q: Can you just tell me shop names?
A: We don't publish a full shop list. Contact us through the official “Contact” channel with your city, budget and preferences, and we'll match you with shops that can serve you.
Q: Roughly how much does a night out cost in Japan?
A: Typical reference ranges, not quotes: outcall lighter service mostly under ¥20,000; pink salons around ¥10,000; soaplands — budget ~¥20,000/60 min, mid-range ~¥40,000/90 min, high-end usually ¥70,000–100,000/120 min (Tokyo is pricier, often ~¥100,000; high-end in Sapporo, Fukuoka, Yamanashi, Ogoto, Kawasaki etc. sometimes ~¥50,000). Lighter-service shops ~¥15,000/60 min; men's massage without extras ~¥20,000/90 min; hostess drinking ~¥15,000 per person per hour (take-out extra); group venues ~¥20,000 for men, women often free, couples often half price (rules vary). Amateur/actress outcall ranges widely from tens of thousands to over ¥100,000; for Okubo-area outcall card prices see our outcall price tiers. If your budget is way off, don't force it with popular high-end shops.
Q: When do soaplands close? Anything after midnight?
A: Under local ordinances, soaplands mostly finish before midnight; high-end sessions are often 120 minutes, so after 10 pm you usually can't get into a high-end slot. Some 60-minute shops stay open a bit later, but choice and quality usually drop. After midnight there are clubs, bars, some lighter services or outcall — local hours on the day apply.
Q: Are there soaplands women can visit? Many venues for women? What are the staff like?
A: There are venues for women or couples; numbers vary by city — not rare, but not everywhere. Looks and experience vary a lot; it depends on the booking match, so don't rely only on promo photos.
Q: Where are Osaka's soaplands?
A: There are basically none in Osaka city. Go to Kobe Fukuhara or Ogoto in Shiga instead; in the city, use the Shinchi districts, lighter-service shops or outcall.
Q: Do Japanese adult venues accept foreigners?
A: It varies a lot by area. In our experience, most shops in most areas accept foreigners who speak Japanese; for those who speak almost none, roughly half of shops are pickier. Always state your nationality and language when booking.
Q: How can I look up shop info myself?
A: Japan's common nightlife directories include CityHeaven, where you can check schedules and whether a shop accepts foreigners; some support online booking. We only compile verified information and offer help in Chinese — the shop's reply is final.
